Salisbury Steak
This Salisbury steak recipe is a great comfort food with hand patted ground beef smothered in gravy, mushrooms, and onions ready in just about 30 minutes. I consider this an easy homemade recipe that has been a classic for many years. Easy to make in one skillet and delicious enough to satisfy your family.
Ingredients

ground beef

1/4 cup
breadcrumbs

large egg

Worcestershire sauce

seasoning salt

ground black pepper

olive oil
Gravy
-

tbsp
flour

1 1/2
cup
beef stock

small pack of sliced mushrooms
-
1
small onion sliced
-
1/2
tbsp
soy sauce

salt and pepper
(to taste)
Instructions

In a large bowl with your hands combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, and Worcestershire sauce

Form ground beef into oval shaped patties

heat olive oil, and add the patties to the heated oil. Cook about 3-4 minutes per side, remove, place on plate and set aside.
Gravy

Add the flour to the skillet (with the drippings remaining) whisk until there a no lumps.

Add beef stock and soy sauce to the skillet and whisk until smooth or desired consistency

Add the mushrooms and sliced onions into the gravy and cook low for 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add the partially cooked beef patties to the gravy mixture while spooning gravy over each pattie until cooked through about 4-5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
