Servings: 4 yield(s)
Ingredients
  • 4 salmon filets (about 4 ounces each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • seasoning (I use seasoning salt and black ground pepper)
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Make the teriyaki sauce first. Place the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey and sesame oil in a small pot over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved
  2. In a small cup mix the cornstarch with 1 tbsp of water until dissolved, then pour into sauce and boil for minute (the sauce should slightly thicken). Set sauce aside
  3. Heat the olive oil in and a large skillet. Season the salmon to taste.
  4. Place the salmon in the skillet and sear 5-7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
  5. Pour the Teriyaki sauce over the salmon. Add a little sesame seeds and chopped green onion as topping/garnish if you prefer.
