Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken
Is the name of several dishes found around the world which include chicken and lemon. It usually consists of pieces of chicken meat that are sauteed or fried and coated with a lemon-garlic flavored sauce. This dish pairs well with rice, pasta, and mashed potatoes.

- Season both sides of chicken with desired seasoning. Place flour in a shallow dish then dredge both sides of each chicken breast in flour;
- Heat large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter, let butter melt, then add chicken in a single layer.
- Sear until golden brown on bottom, about 4-5 minutes then flip and continue to cook an additional 4-5 minutes longer. Transfer chicken to a plate when done.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add the garlic and saute about 30 seconds, then pour in chicken broth while scraping browned bits up to combine. Stir in lemon juice then bring mixture to a simmer, let simmer until liquid has reduced by about half, about 2 minutes. Add in remaining 3 Tbsp butter and stir to melt.
- Return the chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over chicken, garnish with thin lemon slices and parsley if you like. Serve warm.
Notes
- If using thick chicken breast cut them in half to make thin
- Use lemon zest to boost lemon flavor
