Celebrate!

Today I celebrated the completion of my cancer treatment. It was a small gathering of my closest friends due to the current pandemic going on in our country right now. We met at my home in the backyard, and we practiced social distancing. It was a wonderful feeling to see everyone considering I had spent months prior to the pandemic already in somewhat isolation due to fighting breast cancer. We talked, laughed, and drank wine into the night. I was finally with my friends who hadn’t changed, but I felt that I have. I don’t feel like the same Tamica, I guess I’m not the same Tamica. I had gone through so much from September 2019-July 2020, enough to change my whole life. I am officially a survivor and today I celebrated with friends enjoying vanilla cupcakes with pink sprinkles. I am thankful for my journey and the creation of a new me..a better me!
