Some of the women in my family gathered today for a “Ladies Brunch”. We made it a potluck, so that everyone could contribute to our feast. The menu consisted of fried catfish, shrimp and grits, salmon croquettes, chicken and waffles, and the list goes on and on. I decided to make quiche pastry cups, something I’ve never tried before and they actually turned out pretty good. It was great being with the ladies, as we sipped on mimosa’s and peach bellini’s. We laughed, had girl talk, and encouraged one another. It was extra special for me being that my breast cancer journey at times kept me away! It was a breath of fresh air to be with them it made me realize how much I truly cherish each and every one of them. I hope this was the start of a new tradition Sunday Brunch was awesome!
I am so glad you were apart of something, so common and yet so GREAT. Being in the presents, of a circle of joy with laughter,and smiles, places you in a world peace. Keep smiling, there is so much strength in joy.
